Why OK Works
The OK program works because...
1. We are Affordable: The Central Oregon chapter currently includes eight volunteer Board of Directors, 42 volunteer Facilitators and numerous volunteer Best Practices Seminar presenters. Only the Executive Director and Office Manager are compensated.
2. We are entrepreneur-driven: OK's programs are designed and delivered by business veterans and entrepreneurs. We know what our members want. And what they need.
3. We require Accountability, Commitment and Confidentiality: OK's flagship "Problem-Solving Teams" require team members to 1) be Accountable to their teams, in the form of guaranteed follow-up, 2) be Committed to their team, in the form of regular attendance, and 3) to honor Confidentiality, in the form of remembering that "what happens in team meetings, stays in team meetings."
4. We are experienced veterans. Our Baldrige Trainers, Best Practices Seminar presenters and Problem-Solving Team Facilitators are all business veterans. At every level, we've been there, done that.
5. We are passionate about what we do: OK volunteers are driven to assist the business community by the best possible motive: "we want to give something back." Business has been good to us, we want to return the favor.
