Education
Central Oregon's OK chapter hosts nine "Best Practices Seminars" every year. These educational seminars are open to the public as well as to OK's Problem-Solving and Baldrige team members, and feature hands-on advice from business-experienced speakers with expertise on specific subject matters related to small business. The speakers are enlisted from Problem-Solving team members and from the small business community at large and are always volunteers.
The cost to attend these seminars is nominal: $30 for Problem-Solving team members and Baldrige team members and $45 for everyone else. OK maintains a data base of community businesses interested in being appraised of upcoming Educational opportunities and, through the use of e-mail and permission marketing, keeps those businesses advised of the times, dates and venues of our Best Practices Seminars.
Seminar topics range from perennial favorites "marketing" and "all issues related to managing employees", to "understanding financial statements" and "sales management." For a closer look at 2008's topic titles, see the Events page on this web site.
